About Daxle
UX researcher and designer based in Oakland, CA

My path to UX: My search to find a way to scale health coaching for greater impact led me to a health tech startup, where I interfaced with hundreds of product users daily.
To the users, I was the face of the product, and they gave me lots of unsolicited feedback on their experience. This led me to be curious about product development at the organization.
Seeing my growing interest, my manager invited me to be a part of a task force of coaches working directly with product. I joined a pod of engineers, design, and PM - a crash course in Agile UX.
I was thrilled with my new role and dove right in. Transforming insights into rapid product improvements fulfilled my desire to meet user needs.
Then, the pandemic hit. Just as I (and everyone else in the world) was figuring out how to adjust, I received a serious medical diagnosis that forced me to go on disability leave.
During my treatments I spent a lot of time thinking about where I had been and where I was going. I felt like I had explored the limits of health coaching and was excited about going deeper into the UX work I had been doing.
So, I decided to make the best of my leave and began formally studying UX research and design. During the process, I came to realize that I already had experience and expertise in many areas of research due to my background in health and science.
After finishing my UX certificate, I deepened my knowledge and experience by completing additional coursework in research and working with non-profits to improve the usability and accessibility of their websites.
Today, I am thrilled to be leading the UX research team for The Inclusive Group, an organization providing resources for caregivers of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
